For a few years, I have had the opportunity to work with some talented students around the US. What I enjoyed the most was to witness their incredible ability to produce high-end realizations based on my guidance and encouragement. At the same time, I feel fortunate to have been able to collaborate with teams of devoted colleagues in whom I found my own inspiration.
I believe that motivation is the key factor to success in any field of practice. To me, a good instructor should be as dedicated to his area of research as he is to his teaching. It's only then that he can
transmit his fervor to his students. Successful teaching begins with creating the appropriate atmosphere to motivate students to get deeply involved with the subject of the course. My objective is to attract their enthusiasm to a point where they will feel the need to carry out their research on their own. My guidance should provide them with the fundamental knowledge and techniques that they need, but it should mostly point out the endless possibilities that they can explore individually, by introducing them to the latest trends and existing pathways. In order to motivate students and provoke their critical and creative thinking, I constantly explore innovative teaching methods to introduce original concepts into the classroom. By explaining to my students the significance of academic thinking, I try to make a distinction between a technician and an artist.
